Overview
Coredge Software creates knowledge discovery tools with ease of integration and usability as key differentiators. The goals were to communicate the core brand attributes in a clear and minimalist approach, starting with the tag line “discover simplicity”. Deliverables included a logo, tagline, stationery, packaging, and website. In addition, I developed the identity for Logik, one of Coredge’s key products.
Testimonial
“What makes (…) work so strong is the creative thinking behind it. They helped Coredge stand out from the competition — not just by making us look different, but by capturing what really makes us different. It has been a huge asset.”
Gabriel Cassis, President, Coredge Software

Coredge’s products parse documents, providing a summary of the contents. The original rough uses the similarities in the letterforms “c” and “e”, providing a visual play on text discovery.
Logo Development
![]()

The image shown is the original concept that Coredge chose to proceed with. It was very well received but we felt that the “e” overpowered the “c”, making it difficult to see both letterforms in the logo. The placement of the company name and the treatment was to be explored further to highlight “edge”.
Alternate Concept

A number of concepts were originally shown to Coredge and this one represented a number of documents taking on a structured form. The form becomes the letter “c”, communicating growth and links.
Elements of Final Logo

The logo was made by overlapping the “c” and “e” and manipulating the letterforms until both letters could be seen.
