Overview
Logik is a knowledge discovery tool developed by Coredge Software. Having already designed the corporate identity for Coredge, the goals were to communicate the core brand attributes of simplicity and user experience. Deliverables included the logo, packaging, and elements of the user interface.
Testimonial
“What makes (…) work so strong is the creative thinking behind it. They helped Coredge stand out from the competition — not just by making us look different, but by capturing what really makes us different. It has been a huge asset.”
Gabriel Cassis, President, Coredge Software
Sketching

Logik parses text documents, providing a summary of the contents. In addition, it shows connections between documents, authors, and more. The solution was reached by exploring the use of a wordmark as it directly reflects Logik’s use as a text-based tool. The original sketch shown was very close to final logo.

The idea of connections was communicated by creating a ligature for the letters “g” and “i”. The letter “k” was highlighted later on as it is a commonly used term in the knowledge discovery field and provided further insight into product.

The Logik packaging was designed to be flat for ease of shipping and storage. The translucent papers reflected the product’s ability to see “through” documents. The result was very well received by Coredge, it’s audience as well as the design community, winning several awards.
